Product Details
Each vintage kantha is made of five to seven layers of old, discarded saris. For centuries they have been stitched together by poor Bengali women with a simple running stitch to create newness.
They are not regarded as works of art but rather as a means of keeping their loved ones warm. Old cloth is said to keep the user safe from harm.
Each one is completely unique. Use them to layer on the end of a bed, drape over a couch or arm-chair or even as a tablecloth.
Each one varies in size.
